Bürstner

Motion Design Projection

Challenge

Develop a motion design loop to be projected onto the walls of Phoenix Dortmund for the official reveal of Bürstner’s new corporate identity.

The visual narrative needed to guide guests from a calm, familiar “old world” into a bold, vibrant “new world” without overwhelming them – considering the piece would run throughout the evening.

Both phases had to remain tranquil and smooth, yet distinctly different, and the motion language had to respect the physical architecture of the location.

Delivery

The projection begins in Bürstner’s old CI: muted colours, low contrast and gentle movement immerse guests in a world they recognise.

Subtle logo glitches and a progressing loading bar signal transformation and build anticipation.

A dramatic cut introduces the new CI – brighter colours, stronger contrast, and an energised but still carefully controlled motion rhythm.

The transition pulls viewers into the refreshed brand world without visual fatigue, harmonising with the venue and setting the tone for the celebration of Bürstner’s new identity.
